How to Activate Spatial Audio on Your Apple iPhone and iPad

Apple’s Spatial Audio with Dynamic Head aims to deliver a theater-like sound experience from any corner of your room. The company first unveiled Spatial Audio on iOS 14, and the technology takes advantage of the mix of 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound typically used in home theaters powered by Dolby Atmos. In simple words, audio technology aims to provide 3D sound effects. For example, if something happens on the right side of the screen while watching a video, the sound will also come from the right side. Recently, Spatial Audio has also started rolling out on Apple Music to provide an enriching experience of listening to songs on the app.

To enjoy this feature, users will either need AirPods Pro or airpods max and a compatible iPhone – iPhone 7 or later or later. Users with iPads Pro 12.9 inches (3rd generation) and later; iPad Pro 11 inch; iPad Air (3rd generation) and later; iPad (6th generation) and later; iPad mini (5th generation), and Apple TV with tvOS 15 can enjoy 4K spatial audio. How to activate Spatial Audio on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch:

Phase 1: Make sure you have your AirPods Pro or AirPods Max plugged in and that they are connected to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
