How to make Bhajiya Usal – A Gujarati treat that you must try

Bhajiya Usal Recipe: How to Make Bhajiya Usal

To start with the recipe, you first need to make the seasoning for use. For this, take a pan, add coriander, sesame seeds, cloves, cinnamon sticks, black pepper, fennel and fry for a few minutes.

Now take a grinder, add red chili powder, turmeric powder, mango powder and salt as per taste along with roasted spices. Grind together till it becomes a coarse powder.

After the masala is ready, the next step is to make the gravy. In a pressure cooker add soaked white peas, turmeric powder, salt and oil. Pressure cook it for 4 whistles. For the full recipe for Usal, click here.

Now take a bowl for Methi Na Gota (Bhajiya), add fenugreek leaves, gram flour, cumin powder, carom seeds, asafoetida, green coriander and salt. Mix everything well. The next step is to add some curd and water to bind the batter. For the full recipe, Click here.

To collect, place the bhajiyas in a plate, pour usal gravy on top. Garnish with sev, and chopped onions.
