How to Make Japanese Chicken Curry in Just 30 Minutes

Japanese Chicken Curry Recipe: How to make Japanese Chicken Curry

  • To start with the recipe, season the chicken pieces with a little salt. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add all the pieces, again add little salt and cook till 70%. Once done, take them out in a plate.
  • In the same pan add 2 tbsp butter, add all purpose flour and fry for 2-3 minutes. Now, add any curry powder. If you have Japanese curry powder, that would be great.
  • Switch off the flame, add water and make sure no lumps remain inside the curry.
  • Turn the heat on, add 1/4 cup apple juice, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 cinnamon stick, and fennel. Ps: Ketchup and apple juice gives a much needed tangy taste to this recipe. Cover the lid and let it cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add chicken pieces along with some vegetables. Mix well and keep covered for about 10 minutes.
