Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) is all set to release the class 12th result today, May 20. Students who are eagerly waiting for the Term 2 results can check the official website at hpbose.org or results.nic.in. Around 1,94,565 students had registered for the HPBOSE Board Exam 2023, in which 90,637 students appeared for the 10th class exam and 1,03,928 students appeared for the 12th class exam.
To pass the HP Board 12th exam, students need to score at least 33 percent marks overall as well as in each subject. It means they have to do at least grade D. Those below this will be given a chance to appear in the compartment exam, however, those who fail in the compartment exam will have to repeat the year.
HP Board 12th Result 2023: Last year’s pass percentage
In 2022, out of 87,871 students who took the exam, a total of 93.91 per cent students passed it. The top three ranks were bagged by girls. In 2021, a total of 92.77 percent students appeared for the HP Board Class 12 exam. It was a year without exams. In comparison, in 2022, when HPBoSE split the board exams into two and conducted offline exams, there was a marginal increase in the pass percentage to 93.91 per cent. Last year around 1.5 lakh students had registered for the HP Board 12th examination. This year also the board has divided the exam into two terms.
If a student fails to achieve this percentage, he/she will not be considered to have passed the exam. HPBOSE class 12th exam was conducted from March 10 to March 31. If students are unsatisfied with their marks, they will have the opportunity to opt for rechecking or appear for supplementary exams, which are usually conducted in June. It is important to note that a fee will be charged for the supplementary examination.
Students can check their HPBOSE 10th & 12th Result 2023 offline through SMS in case the official website crashes due to heavy traffic on the result day. For that, candidates have to open inbox and enter SMS in the format- HP 12 Roll_No (eg HP 12 206151051) and send it to 5676750.
