HT Republic Day Quiz concludes at a high level

In line with its vision of having fun while learning, HT School hosted ClassAct 2022, The Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz, which began with the preliminary round on 23 January and ended with the Grand Finale on Wednesday.

In this quiz 50,611 students from grades 1 to 12 from all over the world registered for HT School. Students from 32 countries across five continents registered.

There was participation from the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, UK, Canada, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Mozambique, South Africa, Switzerland, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Ghana, Vietnam, Nigeria, Mexico, Tanzania and the US, to name a few. A total of 32,644 students appeared in the preliminary examination conducted on the quiz platform.

Quiz, a popular teacher-led learning and engagement platform, was the technology partner for the event.

In the finale 175 contestants competed for the title. There were 150 finalists from the senior category (grades 6 to 12) and, as a surprise, Quizmasters decided to include the top 25 students from the junior category (grades 1 to 5). The finalists were selected on the basis of their performance in the prelims.

The finale was hosted by renowned quiz masters Dr. Naveen Jayakumar and Avinash Mudaliar. Dr. Jayakumar is a founding member of The Quiz Foundation of India and also Quizmaster of the prestigious National Quiz. Mudaliar of HT Labs is a renowned quizmaster with decades of quizzing experience.

At the end of the finale, 40 winners from the junior category were announced on the basis of their performance in the prelims.
