Huawei Watch D with blood pressure, ECG monitor launched – Times of India

New Delhi: Huawei has expanded its smartwatch lineup with the launch of Huawei Watch D in China. This is the company’s first smartwatch that can be used to measure blood pressure from the wrist.
The smartwatch is equipped with a blood pressure and ECG monitor. The company also said that the smartwatch has also been registered as a Class II medical device by the Drug Administration in China.
Huawei Watch D comes with micro air pump, airbags and not to forget blood pressure measurement technology. The company has also included a tension-resistant material in the strap and a curved airbag with butterfly buckle that creates pressure and measures blood pressure accurately. Along with this, the wearable comes with an ECG monitor that claims to generate ECG reports in real time.
The Huawei Watch D comes in Titanium and Black color options and is priced at 2,988 Yuan (Rs 35,305). The device will go on sale in China from December 25. The company is yet to announce the global launch and availability details of the smartwatch.
Huawei Watch D Specifications
Huawei Watch D comes with 1.64 inch HD display with 456×280 pixel resolution. The device supports Bluetooth 5.1 and works with devices running HarmonyOS, Android 6.0 and above, and iOS 12.0.
The smartwatch comes with an IP68 rating which makes it water-resistant. The wearable offers GPS and NFC support. The Huawei Watch D promises up to 7 days of live battery life on a single charge.
