Husband killed his wife on suspicion of illicit relationship

The Sudduguntepalya police are on a massive search for a computer technician, who is absconding after allegedly strangulating his wife to death on suspicion of illicit relations.

The accused, Nasir Hussain, who is said to be from Kolkata, had sent a message to the victim’s brother, informing him about the murder and asking him to collect the body from the apartment where the couple lived.

According to the police, Nasir had married 22-year-old Naaz Khanum of Taverekere six months back. He said that the victim’s family did not know much about the accused and they gave their consent as it was a love marriage. The accused suspected that Naaz was having an affair with his brother-in-law and used to often fight with her.

On Tuesday, Nasir planned to kill her and first booked a flight ticket to Delhi. After killing her and locking the door, he hired a taxi and paid the driver extra online and took the money in cash before boarding the flight.

He informs Naaz’s brother through a message that he killed her due to suspected illicit relation and switched off his phone. The relatives reached the apartment to find Naz dead.

The Sudduguntepalya police have formed a special team to nab the accused.
