A man stabbed his nine-month-old child to death and grievously injured his wife at Kudianmala in the district on Friday.
According to police, 31-year-old Satisan locked her mother in a room and killed her nine-month-old son Dhyan Dev. Satheesan’s wife Anju is in critical condition and has been taken to the intensive care unit of a private hospital. The incident took place at his house around 9.30 am.
According to local residents, Satisan was suffering from mental problems and was on medication. Satisan, who worked abroad, married Anju seven years ago.
Satheesan’s body was shifted to Government Medical College Hospital in Kannur.
Meanwhile, the police has started investigation.
