Hyderabad: ED raids casino dealers and agents for FEMA violations. Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting raids on casino dealers and agents at eight locations in Hyderabad for violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Local Agent – Madhav Reddy, proficient twitchand others in Hyderabad – reportedly holding high-stakes gaming events in Nepal.
The ED found several hawala transactions during the searches.

Responding to this, the ED conducted searches across the city including Madhav Reddy’s residence at Bowenpally.
Agents are organizing special flights from Shamshabad Airport to Bagdogra Airport and ‘All In’ at Casino Vegas by Big Daddy at Hotel Mechi Crowne Jhapa.
The event was organized from June 10 to June 13 in a town near Siliguri on the Indo-Nepal border.

The ED found that gambling rackets were operating from Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur and Nellore.
In the four-day package, gamblers will have to pay Rs 3 lakh for flight charges, food, hotel stay, drinks and entertainment.
Apart from Nepal, Pukhet Island of Thailand is another destination.
