Hyderabad FC registered their fifth consecutive win this season by beating Jamshedpur FC 1-0 to consolidate their top spot in the Indian Super League (ISL) in Jamshedpur on Wednesday. Mohammad Yasir ended his winning streak against the Red Minors by scoring again in the second half for the defending champions. The hosts made four changes to the side that had lost to FC Goa in the previous match. Head coach Eddie Boothroyd replaced the injured Eli Sabia with Prateek Choudhary in the defence. In midfield, Wellington Priori fell to the bench, and was replaced by Laldinpuia Pachuau. J Thomas and Harry Sawyer started as Farooq Choudhary and Ritwik Das started off the bench.
The visitors made just one change, starting with Bartholomew Ogbeche. borja Herrera returned to the bench.

At the beginning of the second half, the game changed hands as Hyderabad FC shed first blood. Halicharan Narzary’s low cross aimed at Ogbeche was intercepted by Peter Hartley. However, the ball eventually hit an unmarked Yasir, who pressed the ball to the near post in the 48th minute.
Near the final quarter of the game, the hosts finally tested substitute keeper Anuj Kumar. Boris Singh finds Sawyer with a low cross inside the box. Sawyer’s back was on target as he swung it back to Hartley, whose shot was short and hard, but unable to beat Anuj.
Seven minutes after the regulation time, Odei Onindia drove the ball back towards Anuj. Under pressure from Ishaan Pandita, Anuj stumbles and starts handling the ball outside the box. The shot-stopper only saw a yellow card for the offense and Jamshedpur FC failed to get anything off the resulting free kick.

The win took Hyderabad FC to the top of the table with seven points from 13 points. Their next challenge will be at home on November 19 when they host Kerala Blasters.
Jamshedpur FC retain the ninth position after their third loss of the season. He will play Chennaiyin FC on 19 November at the Marina Arena.
