Hyderabad gang rape: Congress pulls up BJP MLA for releasing photographs of victim, minor accused

Congress MP and Telangana in-charge Manickam Tagore took to Twitter to condemn BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao for releasing a video with images of the victim and minor accused in the Hyderabad gang rape case.

BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao said that the police has hurriedly given a clean chit to the minor accused, who is the son of a senior member of the ruling (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) TRS government in Telangana. He said that only after the police gave a clean chit to the minor accused, he was forced to leave the evidence.

He also said that he has video evidence proving the involvement of the MLA’s son.

In his tweet, the Congress MP said, “An accused in a rape case is allegedly the son of an MIM MLA. By exposing the video, Raghunandan compromised both the case and the safety of the victim and her family. Is it because of unholy alliance between TRS, BJP and MIM? Is their bond more important than justice for a minor girl?”
