NEW DELHI: Telangana Police on Saturday arrested the third accused in the gang rape case of a Hyderabad teenager. Jubilee Hills Last week.

What happened on 28th May?
On the evening of 28 May, the accused sexually assaulted the victim in an Innova car after a party at a pub in Jubilee Hills, where the victim and the accused had attended a party.
According to the police officer, the suspects left the bar in a vehicle and stopped at a pastry store on the way. They got out of the car and got into another car.
Despite the fact that the car was confiscated by the police, no information was released about the Innova vehicle. The DCP declined to comment on the owner of the SUV.
According to the police investigation, the criminal left the victim near the pub after committing the crime. He dialed the number of his father, who picked him up, but he suspected that something untoward had happened to him as he had bruises on his neck.
On May 31, the victim’s father approached the police and said that his daughter had gone to a non-alcoholic party for a day and suspected that there might have been molestation. He told the police that the girl was in a state of shock and was unable to speak.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.Indian Penal Code) and Sections 9 and 10 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and initiated further investigation. After counseling the victim girl the next day under the standard operating procedure, the police took her trust center Where the women officers comforted and assured him.
“The very next day she told the women officers what happened and gave her statement,” the DCP said.
Based on the statement of the victim, the police changed the case to Section 376D of IPC and Sections 5 and 6 of POCSO Act and since there were marks of injury on the victim, Section 323 of IPC was also added.
Various teams were formed on the instructions of the Municipal Police Commissioner who started collecting the details. “The victim was not in a position to reveal the identity of the accused as they did not know him in advance. On the basis of the CCTV footage and other technical evidence and the same confirmed by the CCTV footage and the statement of the victim, we have identified the five accused, Out of which two of them are chief and three are aged 16-17 years,” he said.
It has been alleged by opposition BJP leaders that the state home minister’s grandson and the son of an MIM MLA were also involved.
The police officer termed the allegations against the home minister’s grandson as “100 per cent baseless”. He also said that neither the statement of the victim nor the other evidence collected so far shows that Amala’s son was involved.
However, the police officer said that the investigation is on and once the victim is in a position to give a detailed statement and if anything comes to the fore regarding the involvement of others during the investigation, action will be taken accordingly.
