Hyundai Motor India announces strategic partnership with Tata Power to develop EV infrastructure

Hyundai Motor India and Tata Power have announced a partnership to develop EV infrastructure and EV charging network at Hyundai dealerships in the country.

Hyundai Motor India has announced a strategic collaboration with Tata Power to develop EV infrastructure and EV charging network at Hyundai dealerships in India. Ansu Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India and Dr Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power recently signed a MoU at Hyundai’s India Headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana. Currently, Hyundai has an existing network of 34 EV dealers with 7.2 kW AC chargers across 29 cities. These dealerships and others are also considering upgrading to the 60 kW DC fast charger. HMIL will provide the facility through its dealership, location and necessary administrative approvals, while Tata Power will operate and maintain the charging stations.

Under this collaboration, public EV charging stations will be set up at Hyundai dealership locations and end-to-end charging solutions will be offered at home for the convenience and hassle-free EV ownership of the customers. The charging stations at Hyundai dealerships will be open to all electric vehicle customers and accessible through the Hyundai and Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app.
