The new Tucson is 150mm longer, 15mm wider, 5mm longer, and has an 85mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor. Hyundai claims that the NX4 model selected for India is the longer wheelbase variant of the Tucson.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Design
The new generation Tucson is based on the company’s Sensuous Sporty design language, and features a complete design overhaul over its revamped model. Up front, the SUV gets a large grille that extends across the nose of the car, and also gets triangular LED DRLs. At the rear, the T-shaped tail lights are linked together by an LED strip, the Hyundai emblem placed on the lower part of the rear windshield.

The new Tucson’s feature list includes 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bose premium sound system, BlueLink connected-car tech with 60+ connected features, multiple language UI support, rear recline seats, 64 color ambient lighting, home-to-car Are included. With Alexa and Google voice assistants, powered tailgate, wireless phone charger, driver power seat memory function, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, and more.
2022 Tucson It is the first Hyundai car to be offered with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The SUV gets Front Collision Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, High Beam Assist, Safe Exit Warning, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Follow Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Assist.
Other safety features include 6 airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill descent control, hill start assist control, blind view monitor and a surround view monitor as standard.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Powertrain
The Hyundai Tucson is powered by 2.0-litre diesel and 2.0-litre NAT-ASP petrol engines. The former makes a maximum power of 186 PS and peak torque of 417 Nm, while the petrol engine is rated at 156 PS / 192 Nm. While the diesel engine is offered with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard, the petrol mill only gets a 6-speed AT. Hyundai is also offering the Tucson with its HTRAC all-wheel drive configuration.
2022 Hyundai Tucson Expected Price
Prices of the new-gen Hyundai Tucson are expected to start from Rs.25 lakhs to Rs.30 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom). However, the prices will be revealed only at the official launch event of the SUV, which is going to happen soon.
