Hyundai’s latest electric car, the Ioniq 5 EV to launch in India soon – Times of India

Hyundai India listed at the end ionic 5 EV on its official website, which indicates that the EV will soon launch in the Indian market. Earlier the brand had announced that the Ioniq 5 would make its India debut in mid-2022.
The Ioniq5 is part of the company’s plan to launch 6 EVs in the Indian market by 2028. Electric Global Modular Platform Hyundai’s (E-GMP), the Ioniq 5 will arrive in India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route.

Under the hood, the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 will likely be offered with two battery options – a 58 kWh battery and a 77.4 kWh battery in the Indian market as well. The powertrain will likely churn out maximum power of 305 HP and maximum torque of 605 Nm. Both powertrains will be available in rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configurations. Internationally, Ioniq 5 CUV Has a claimed range of 481 km.
In terms of pricing, the Ioniq 5 is expected to be priced above Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The Ioniq 5 EV once launched will take on its potential rival, the Kia EV6.
