It’s not every day that you can see—Bollywood moments happen on the James Bond Cannes red carpet! But May 20 was the day of 2022. Hey, we might have said—Bond, right? It’s not like Idris Elba needs to be Bond to get our attention – or that of the world. Luther Starr walks the red carpet for his upcoming film, Three Thousand Years of Longing, at the 75th Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 20, 2022. His wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba was with him. And they had a Bollywood moment on the red carpet. Well, at least this picture makes us feel that way.
Idris-Sabrina has Cannes 2022 red carpet
George Miller’s follow-up to Three Thousand Years of Longing, Mad Max: Fury Road, debuted at Cannes 2022. The film stars Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton in the lead roles. Idris walked the red carpet with co-star Tilda and director George as well as his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba. A picture of the lovely couple posing on the red carpet gives us a complete Bollywood feel.

Three thousand years long teaser
Like Mad Max: Fury Road, which also premiered at Cannes, the Idris Elba-starrer was screened at Cannes 2022. Three Thousand Years of Longing was originally slated for a September 2021 release, but production was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which pushed the release.
Three Thousand Years of Longing premieres in theaters on August 31.
