IHCL increased its stake in Goa’s hospitality industry. Goa News – Times of India

Panaji: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), which is part of the Tata Group, on Wednesday announced the signing of a Selections hotel in Anjuna, Goa.
This hotel is a franchisee with Guild Hotels Pvt Ltd. The 49-room hotel will be renovated and is expected to reopen in April and will be operated by AM Hotels Collections under the Selections brand.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “In line with our strategy to strengthen our presence in key housing markets, IHCL signed its second Salcus branded hotel in Goa, one of the best performing in India. One of the markets.”
IHCL will renovate the 150 year old Portuguese style building to meet the standards of the Tata Group. The hotel is a short walk from the beach as well as popular tourist spots, and will have a specialty restaurant.

With the addition of new properties, IHCL has 12 hotels in Goa with two under development.
