IIIT Delhi to conduct advanced research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Fellowship on offer of Rs 10 lakh

Indraprastha Information Institute technology (IIIT) Delhi has collaborated with Vehant Technologies Pvt Ltd to undertake joint research projects focused on the applications of cutting edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The institute said research would be conducted to advance physical security, surveillance and traffic monitoring.

The two have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), according to which, They will sponsor research projects, mentorship, MTech and PhD students of IIIT-Delhi, starting with five MTech students for the academic year starting from 2022-23. with sponsoring. , The admission of the first set of sponsored MTech students will start in July 2022 and the projects are scheduled to start in August 2022.

The institute said that through the fellowship, IIIT Delhi students will receive full cost of their education, including reimbursement of cost of living and direct industry experience on live projects and R&D, while continuing their regular academic studies. will receive.

“The IIIT-Delhi MTech students who are awarded the sponsorship will be called Wehant Fellows and each fellowship will be a commitment of Rs 10 lakh by Wehant Technologies over a period of two years of their academic course. Funds can be used flexibly for any research and educational purposes. Our primary objective is to attract young talent to work on our projects while supporting quality education,” said Anoop G Prabhu, Co-Founder and CTO, Wehant Technologies.
