Swedish home furnishing retailer IKEA India (part of Ingca Group) on Tuesday said it will launch its first store in the city on June 22.
The large format store will be connected to the Nagasandra metro station, a statement said. Ikea India also announced Anje Hem as the market manager for Karnataka market.

Spread over 12.2 acres, the 4,60,000 sq ft IKEA Nagasandra store will house over 7,000 affordable, good quality, durable and well designed home furnishing IKEA products, the statement said.
The store will also feature the largest children’s play area ‘Smaland’ as well as a 1,000-seat restaurant and a bistro serving a mix of Swedish and Indian cuisine.
IKEA began its e-commerce journey in Bengaluru in 2021 with a shopping website and an app.
Meanwhile, IKEA India started Its online ordering for Mumbai residents in August 2019 made Mumbai the first Indian city where IKEA launched online orders, and the second – after Hyderabad – where customers have a catalog of IKEA products. IKEA’s online delivery covers a large area of Mumbai including the cities of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane.
