IMD Update: Rain, snowfall likely in these areas till February 23

The Western Himalayan Region (WHR) will see scattered to fairly widespread rainfall which may be between Light To moderate on February 22 and 23. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted that many states of India may receive rain in the next few days.

Snowfall is also likely in WHR during this period.

According to the official statement of IMD, light to moderate rainfall is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal-Sikkim during February 19-22. Isolated light or moderate rainfall is very likely to occur over Gangetic West Bengal also between February 20-22.

Isolated to widespread light or moderate rainfall was also predicted over Arunachal Pradesh during February 19 to 21. state There is also a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places on February 20.

IMD has predicted scattered or moderate rainfall over Assam-Meghalaya and Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura during the same period.

Strong surface winds (25-35 kmph) very likely over Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on February 19, 20 and 22. Similar On February 22, the situation will remain in North Rajasthan as well.

According to the IMD, Odisha is also expected to receive fairly widespread and light rain between February 19-20.
