IMF’s Gita Gopinath Reveals “The Best Way To Do Things”, The Internet Agrees

Gita Gopinath, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is an avid social media user. She often updates her Twitter followers with her day-to-day meetings with ministers, diplomats and eminent personalities. Sometimes, Ms. Gopinath also shares some light-hearted moments from her life, and this time, the 50-year-old shared what she thinks is “the best way to do things.”

Ms Gopinath shared a picture of her dog sitting near her laptop on Twitter on Friday. In the caption of the post, which has garnered thousands of likes and views, she simply wrote, “Best way to work”.

Internet users were quick to react to Ms Gopinath’s tweet. “Probably the only right way to do things!!!” A user wrote. “How I wish pets would hold meetings by our side when we’re relaxing!” jokingly said another.

Meanwhile, last year, the 50-year-old also shared a glimpse of his Singapore trip. She revealed that she visited hawker centers in Singapore and tried the native fruit durian, which is one of the most fragrant fruits in the world. He described the infamous Asian fruit as “very unique”.

Gita Gopinath served as the chief economist of the IMF between 2019 and 2022. Earlier this year, Ms. Gopinath assumed the role of the IMF’s first Deputy Managing Director (FDMD).

Prior to her career at the IMF, Ms. Gopinath was the John Zwaanstra Professor of International Studies and Economics at Harvard University’s Department of Economics (2005-22).
