Lahore: After joining PTI-backed candidate, Parvez Elahi Former Prime Minister of the country, as Chief Minister of the Punjab province of Pakistan Imran Khan Elahi to immediately restore all social welfare programs initiated by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regime.

Speaking to the chief minister through a video link, Imran lamented that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led coalition government had suspended all public welfare schemes while in power and PTI’s strategies But had not paid attention.
However, the newly elected chief minister, Pervez Elahi, said that the provincial government would move quickly on these programs and was not committed to it.
Former federal minister Moonis Elahi, Dr Shahbaz Gill and other senior officials attended the meeting, The Express Tribune reported.
During the meeting, the ongoing political upheaval in the country and matters of mutual interest came up for discussion. Earlier, Khan was scheduled to visit Lahore, but he had to cancel his trip at the eleventh hour due to bad weather.
