Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Thursday, he called upon the youth of the country to dedicate at least 75 hours to the nation by August 15, 2023, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. He was virtually addressing a youth conference organized by Karelibagh Swaminarayan Mandir here.
Modi said that even small works like promoting cleanliness campaign, conserving electricity and water, ensuring its benefits to the people. Jan Aushadhi Kendra, and creating a plastic free environment was a service to the nation. “Bringing a change in the lives of the poor people or even our neighbours, is like performing a duty to the nation,” Modi said.
He also suggested that the youth should do all the transactions using digital payments for one year. He said this would bring a big change.
The Prime Minister called upon the youth present in the conference to take up organic farming. Modi appreciated the efforts being made in this direction in Gujarat and said that it will help in protecting the environment.
Modi said India had a new and modern identity, yet it stuck to its strong traditions. He said that the country gave direction to humanity by taking new thinking and centuries old culture along with it.

Giving the example of the Kovid-19 pandemic, he said that India has provided vaccines and medicines to the world. He said India gave hope of self-reliance amidst disrupted supply chains. He said that during the conflicts in the world, India gave hope of peace.
According to the PM, when it came to the dangers of climate change, India led the future with the country’s centuries-old experience of sustainable living.
He said that India is showing and introducing the path of Yoga. Ayurveda for the world. The PM said that India is the third largest start up ecosystem in the world under the leadership of the youth of the country.
