“Inappropriate Comments”: India To Group Of Islamic Nations On Kashmir

New Delhi:

India on Monday hit out at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its “inappropriate” comments on the delimitation exercise in Jammu and Kashmir.

“We are disappointed that the OIC Secretariat has once again made inappropriate comments on India’s internal affairs,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said.

“As before, the Government of India categorically rejects the claims made by the OIC Secretariat on the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral and inseparable part of India,” he said.

The Delimitation Commission, which decides the parliamentary and assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, notified its final report earlier this month.

“The OIC should refrain from carrying out its communal agenda against India at the behest of one country,” the ministry spokesperson said, pointing to Pakistan.
