IND-W vs MAL-W Women’s Asia Cup 2022: The Indian women’s team defeated the Malaysian team in their second match of the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2022 on Monday. In a rain-stopped match, the Indian team put on a stellar performance against the nascent Malaysian team. The Indian team won the match by 30 runs on the DLS method to win their second match in the tournament in a row.

India made four changes to their playing XI against Sri Lanka on 1 October. Smriti Mandana, Sneh Rana, Pooja Vastrakar Renuka Thakur was rested. While Sabbinene Meghna, KP Navgire, Rajeshwari Gaikwad and Meghna Singh have been included in the team.

Malaysian captain Winifred Duraisingam won the toss and forced the women to bat in blue. Openers S Meghna and Shafali Verma got India off to a great start and scored half-centuries in the former. However, Verma missed his half-century. Richa Ghosh was clinical with the bat and her cameo of 33 off 19 balls helped India post 181 on the board. For Malaysia, Nur Daniya Ciuda and captain Winifred Duraisingam took two wickets each. Ciuda had a chance for a hat-trick but missed it.
