India avoided Lanka vote, says will talk to Colombo – Times of India

GENEVA/UNITED NATIONS: India on Thursday did not participate in the UNHRC on a draft resolution. Geneva on promoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka which was adopted.
India asserts that it will work closely with Sri Lanka and the international community to achieve the respective objectives of legitimate aspirations Sri Lankan Tamils And prosperity to all Sri Lankans. The draft resolution was adopted with 20 countries voting in favour, seven against, including China and Pakistanand 20 restraints including India, Japan, Nepal and Qatar.
Among the 20 countries that voted in favor of the resolution are the UK, US, Argentina, Finland, France, Germany, MexicoNetherlands, Paraguay, Poland, Republic of Korea and Ukraine,
