India-New Zealand Test series: Maharashtra government allows 100% seating at Wankhede Stadium

The Maharashtra government has allowed 100% seating at the Wankhede Stadium for the India-New Zealand Test starting December 3.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will also organize a preparatory camp for India’s Test specialists ahead of the two-match series against New Zealand at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

“The government has allowed MCA to have 100 per cent capacity for the second Test at Wankhede. We will also organize a preparatory camp at Bandra-Kurla Complex from Monday to give the players a fair chance to get ready for the series.” ANI has reported the news quoting sources.

The MCA had earlier approached the Maharashtra government to allow 100 per cent crowd for the second Test of the two-match series between India and New Zealand.

New Zealand will play a T20I series in India, which will be followed by two Test matches. T20 matches will be played in Jaipur on November 17, Ranchi on November 19 and Kolkata on November 21. The two Tests will be played in Kanpur (25-29 November) and Mumbai (3-7 December).

Ahead of the Test series, MCA will organize a preparatory camp for Indian Test experts including Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Umesh Yadav, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha and Umesh Yadav.
