India recorded 2,685 fresh on Saturday, May 28, 2022 covid-19 case According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, its number of infections increased to 4,31,50,215, while the number of active cases increased to 16,308.

The death toll rose to 5,24,572 with 33 deaths, data updated at 8 am.

Active cases comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections. The health ministry said the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.75 per cent.

The active COVID-19 caseload registered an increase of 494 cases in the 24-hour period.

The health ministry said that the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.60 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 0.54 per cent.

The number of people cured of the disease increased to 4,26,09,335. The case fatality rate is 1.22 per cent, it said.

The cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country so far have exceeded 193.13 crores under the nationwide immunization drive.
