“Russian President Vladimir Putin along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make an official visit to New Delhi on 6 December for the 21st India visit of Russia’s annual summit,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said during the weekly press briefing.
Bagchi said the summit would provide an opportunity to exchange views on regional, multilateral and international issues of mutual interest.
“This visit will provide further impetus to the India-Russia special and privileged strategic partnership,” Bagchi said.
More than 10 bilateral agreements are expected to be signed between India and Russia including on issues like connectivity, shipping, space, military-technical cooperation, science and technology, education and culture.
The last India-Russia Annual Summit 2019 took place during PM Modi’s visit to the city of Vladivostok, Russia.
