Indian Army apprehends suspected suicide bomber in Jammu

An infiltrator who was allegedly planning a suicide attack was shot and captured by Indian Army personnel along the Line of Control in Sehar Makri area of ​​Nowshera. Army personnel, later named as Tabarak Hussain (26), in Sehar Makri neighborhood of Nowshera town of Jammu’s Rajouri district, initially found him indulging in suspicious conduct.

According to Rajouri district police, the intruder tried to escape from the army personnel, but was fired upon and was apprehended in an injured condition. According to him, the attacker was immediately taken to a nearby army facility for first aid, before being shifted to Army Hospital Rajouri for additional care.

He is responding well to treatment, a police officer reports, and the intrusion will be investigated and the resulting criminal questioned. This was his second encounter with law enforcement while violating the Line of Control (LoC).

The officials claimed that nothing objectionable was found from him and only after the interview would it be possible to determine why he tried to illegally enter the side.

“Tabarak Hussain’s pubic hair and armpits have been shaved and this is mostly done by terrorists when they are on a suicide attack, as seen earlier,” a police officer said.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, Mohammad Aslam said that Army personnel guarding the Line of Control in Sehar Makri area of ​​Nowshera sector noticed suspicious movement of the intruder, who was challenged, but started running away.

“On this, the intruder was fired upon and then he was intercepted in an injured state. They were provided medical facilities at the local military establishment and now (they) have been shifted to Army Hospital Rajouri,” the official said, adding that “the injured were responding (positively) to the treatment.”

The SSP said that the intruder would be interrogated later including interrogation. According to official officials, the intruder was 32-year-old Tabreek Hussain, a citizen of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
