“Yes, the Indian Foreign Service has changed. Yes, they follow the orders of the government. Yes, they oppose the arguments of others.
Jaishankar said, ‘No, it is not called ego.
“It’s called confidence. And it’s called Defending National Interest (sic),” the minister said.
At the ‘Thoughts for India’ conference in London, Gandhi slammed the BJP government at the Center on several fronts and alleged that the “deep state” in India was attacking and taking over institutions.
In the interactive session, Gandhi also criticized the Indian Foreign Service.
He said, “I was talking to some bureaucrats in Europe and they were saying that the Indian Foreign Service has completely changed, they don’t listen to anything. They are arrogant… no talks are taking place. ”
