Indian Railway Apprentice Recruitment: After 8th Pass Can Apply, Direct Recruitment Without Exam For 1664 Posts

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of North Central Railway has invited applications for the Apprentice for 1664 posts in various Trades, Workshops and Divisions of NCR. The posts will be filled in Agra, Jhansi and Prayagraj for the year 2021-22. Interested candidates can apply for their preferred post on the official portal of RRC Prayagraj at rrrcpryj.org on or before the last date of submission of application by 1st December.

Applications are invited for apprentice slots in various departments and divisions including Mechanical (364), Electrical (339), Jhansi Division (480), Workshop Jhansi (185), Agra Division (296).

Indian Railway Apprentice Recruitment: Eligibility

Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for Apprentice Recruitment must have passed class 10 or equivalent examination with 50 per cent marks. For welder, wireman and carpenter, candidates must have passed class 8. In addition to this, all applicants should have ITI certification in the relevant trade issued by NCT/SCVT duly recognized by the Government of India.

Age Limit: Applicants participating in the Apprenticeship Recruitment Process must be at least 15 years of age. The upper age limit under this recruitment process is 24 years as on December 1, 2021. There is an additional five years relaxation in age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. Relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy) is three years while upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years in case of Ex-Serviceman.

Indian Railway Apprentice Recruitment: Application Fee

The application fee for unreserved and OBC category candidates is Rs 100. There is no application fee for every other category applicant. The payment of the application along with the transaction fee has to be done online.

Indian Railway Apprentice Recruitment: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list prepared by taking average of percentage of marks in Matriculation and ITI examination taking equal weightage to both. Shortlisted candidates will again be called for document verification to the extent of 1.5 times the notified vacancies. The candidates will be trained for a period of one year and will get stipend during this period.
