“Indians Not Allowed…”: New York Times Article on Union Information and Broadcasting Minister

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Friday slammed the New York Times for “spreading lies” about India’s claim that it published an article on press freedom in Kashmir that it described as “mischievous and fantasy”. I went. Anurag Thakur said on Twitter, “The New York Times (NYT) long ago abandoned all pretense of neutrality when publishing anything about India. NYT’s so-called opinion on press freedom in Kashmir is inherent pretense and fiction, Which is published with the sole purpose of spreading propaganda about India and its democratic analysis and values. The minister said, “New York Times and some other foreign media like them are lying about India and our democratic form again Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Such lies cannot go on for long.”

He said, “Democracy in India and we are very educated people and we do not need to learn the grammar of democracy from such agenda-driven media.” Thakur said the “blatant lies” by the NYT about press freedom in Kashmir were condemnable. The minister said, “Indians will not allow such vani to run their sixth agenda on the soil of India.”
