India’s peak power supply touched a record 207GW on Friday

India’s peak power demand or highest single day supply touched an all-time high of 207.11 GW on Friday amid the ongoing heatwave across vast areas of the country. “Maximum All India Demand (Highest Supply) touched 207111 MW at 14:50 hrs today, the highest ever level,” the Power Ministry said in a tweet on Friday. The peak power deficit on Thursday was 10.77 GW.
