The President remembered his teachers and said that he not only taught them but also gave them love and inspiration.
She said, “By the guidance of my family and teachers, I became the first girl in my village to study in a college. I always feel indebted to my teachers for what I have achieved in life.”
The President said that it is the responsibility of teachers to inculcate interest in science and research in their students as good teachers can make it easy to explain complex principles with the help of living examples present in nature.

Noting that India’s schooling is counted among the largest education systems in the world, Murmu urged teachers to encourage the habit of asking questions and expressing doubts in students. He presented the National Award to Teachers, 2022 to 46 selected awardees to honor their unique contribution to school education.
