The Prime Minister said that India’s toy sector has proved its mettle by transforming itself, with manufacturers now creating toys based on Indian mythology, history and culture.

He said that there are clusters of toys everywhere in the country and small entrepreneurs are getting a lot of benefits from this as their toys are now moving around the world.

He said that India’s toy makers are working closely with the world’s leading brands.

Noting that the start-up sector is giving full attention to the world of toys, he said that a start-up named Shumme Toys in Bangalore is focusing on eco-friendly toys, while in Gujarat the Orchidzoo company AR-based Making flash cards and story books. ,

Pune-based Funvention is engaged in igniting children’s interest in science, technology and maths through learning, toys and activity puzzles, he added, adding that the start-ups are doing a great job.
