India’s warm-up fixture vs Leicestershire: India will resume batting for the visitors on Day 4 with Ravindra Jadeja (56*) and Mohammad Siraj (1*) leading by 366 runs.

Former captain Virat Kohli and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored half-centuries as skipper Rohit skipped match practice on the third day of the warm-up match between India and Leicestershire. Meanwhile, India extended their lead to 366 runs at Grace Road.

Kohli crossed the 50-run mark in 69 balls, which included two sixes and four fours. Kohli was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah for 67 runs in 98 balls. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Siraj are currently batting for the visitors and will resume on day 4.

Srikar Bharat and Hanuma Vihari opened the batting on the third day after helping them post 80 for one in 18 overs on the second day. On the second day, Leicestershire were bowled out for 244 with Rishabh Pant’s top score (76). Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami took three wickets each for the visitors while Shardul Thakur and Mohammad Siraj finished with a pair.

India are all set to take on England for the fifth and final Test match at Edgbaston starting July 1. They will also play three ODIs and three T20 Internationals. Earlier, India will also play a 2-match T20I series against Ireland on June 26 and June 28.
