IndiGo announces 3% bonus to crew after Q4 results: Report

According to media reports, IndiGo on Friday announced that it will give a 3 per cent bonus to its crew after the March quarter results. The company reported profit in the January-March quarter as against a loss in the same quarter a year ago.

As per the Economic Times report, the airline informed the cabin crew that a bonus amount equal to three per cent of their FY23 salary will be paid along with the May salary.

InterGlobe Aviation, which runs indigohad stopped paying bonus from FY20 as the pandemic hit the business.

InterGlobe Aviation Limited, which operates India’s largest airline IndiGo, reported record profit on Thursday. 919.2 crore in the March quarter due to strong demand for air travel during the period.

In the post-earnings conference call, the airline’s management termed the last financial year as a year of recovery and growth.

Airline’s total income increased by 78% during the quarter 14,600 crores.

The low-cost carrier expects a 5-7% growth in terms of available seat kilometers or passenger carrying capacity in the June quarter of 2023-24 as compared to the March quarter of 2022-23.

For the financial year 2022-23, InterGlobe Aviation reports a net loss 305.8 crores. the airline had a net loss 6161.8 crore in the last financial year which ended in March 2022.

As of 31 March 2023, the airline’s fleet consisted of 304 aircraft on wet lease arrangements including 21 A320 ceos (current engine option), 162 A320 neos (new engine option), 79 A321 NEOs, 39 ATRs, two A321 freighters and one Boeing 777. , Overall, the airline was able to add two aircraft to its fleet during the quarter.

On Friday, the company announced its March quarter results. The company’s stock closed down by 0.03 percent. 2264.35 on BSE.
