As part of the Union Government’s mass outreach program for Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs and Sports Nisith Pramanik on Sunday visited Pulwama district where he e-inaugurated various development projects. The Minister also e-inaugurated various development projects including a multi-purpose indoor stadium at Bajwani Tral, ISM Bhawan at Larva Kakapora, Sub-Centre at Gulshanpora, Library Block-cum-Extra Classroom at GDC Tral, and various roads from Wuiyaan, Shalwani. An official spokesman said, Wahipora Pirtakia, Abu Turab as well as a slaughterhouse in Awantipora.
The spokesman said that the Minister also laid the e-foundation of Naudal Dadsara Naibug Road, Guso Deeri Road, Aglar Gurjarabasti Kanigam Road and Pulwama Mongama Road. Speaking on the occasion Pramanik said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked all the Ministries of the Government of India to work together for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the PM is very keen to accelerate the pace of development in the Union Territory, for which the Central Government has a different blueprint. Pramanik said that the Center has launched a series of developmental schemes and individual benefit programs aimed at the overall socio-economic development of the people of the Union Territory.
He said that Public Sector Undertakings are also conducting a series of training programs for unemployed youth in J&K. The Minister also met various stakeholders including vegetable farmers, Traders Federation Pulwama, Industrial Association IGC Lasipora, saffron growers and beneficiaries of National Rural Livelihood Mission, who apprised him of their demands and grievances.
He assured that the demands and grievances raised by the delegations have been looked into and will be placed with the Central Government as well as the Lieutenant Governor for timely redressal. The minister said that the central government under the leadership of the PM is dedicated to speed up the development scenario of the union territory and people will see huge changes in the coming days.
He said that the Government of India is already working on various flagship programs aimed at developing the socio-economic status of the people and several new schemes are also in the pipeline.
