Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra delayed recruitment process, offer letter canceled: Report

According to a media report, major IT companies, Infosys, Wipro and Tech Mahindra have canceled the offer letters given to students, as the companies have been delaying the onboarding process for months. As per the report, the students said that they have not been given any grounds for rejection.

Bhopal-based engineering graduate Pavitra (name changed) received a mail from Infosys on September 28, informing her of the rejection, six months after she received the offer. “It has been recognized that you are not fulfilling our educational eligibility criteria. So your offer is null and void,” according to a BusinessLine report, citing mail from the company. According to the report, Pavitra, however, fulfills the mentioned eligibility criteria (60% marks in class 10, 12 and undergraduate course).

Another candidate, Bhawna (name changed), who is a graduate in computer science from Vijayanagar, received a rejection mail from Wipro four months after she was offered the job, BusinessLine reported. “We cannot pursue your candidature as you are not complying with Wipro’s evaluation guidelines,” the mail said.

According to the report, Bhawna said that she has been rejected even after meeting all the grade criteria and submitting all the documents. “The company has not given any explanation as to the grounds for the rejection.”

According to the report, Vivek (name changed), who had received an offer from Tech Mahindra three months back, also received a rejection mail on September 22 for not clearing a certification test.

He said Tech Mahindra had made it mandatory to complete 12 courses as part of the joining process. “I was rejected despite completing them and getting the certification.”
