Inside Rishi Sunak’s diet – what he eats for breakfast, his go-to treats and more

Rishi Sunak has become the first person of Indian origin to hold the post of Prime Minister in the United Kingdom. Congratulatory messages and well wishes have poured in from the leaders of countries around the world. In light of his appointment, past interviews with the newly appointed British Prime Minister are going viral on the internet. Recently, an episode of a podcast with Harry Stebbings called VC:20 has been in the news. In the 30-minute long episode, Stebbings talks with Rishi Sunak when he was the Chancellor of the Exchequer of the British Government. Sunak talks about his first job at a restaurant, his go-to diet and what he usually eats for breakfast.

It wasn’t the most glamorous job, it was hard work, but getting the job was amazing,” Sunak said in the podcast. He further said that the hospitality industry was close to his heart and had suffered a lot during the pandemic and his policies were aimed at minimizing his losses.

coming into your diet, Rishi Sunki He said that he fasted intermittently and thus, mostly skipped breakfast. “I wake up between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. depending on the gym I’m doing. In terms of breakfast, I do some interval fasting on certain days [it’s] nothing. Otherwise, I’d probably eat Greek yogurt and blueberries during the week,” Sunak said. “And then I’ll have another mid-morning breakfast that’s either a cinnamon bun or a pain or a chocolate or chocolate chip muffin. So I’ll have a chocolaty, sweet pastry at some point,” he said, adding that this mid-morning treat was his indulgence.

Not only that – Rishi Sunak also revealed fully cooked Breakfast with your family on weekends. “And then on the weekends, we have a full-cooked breakfast on Saturday, and on Sunday, we alternate between pancakes and waffles,” he said in a podcast with Harry Stebbings. “So, we do American-style pancakes, so we add crispy bacon, blueberries, strawberries, and pancakes. That’s Sunday. And we exchange pancakes and waffles every week,” he concludes.
