New Delhi The National Health Authority (NHA) on Friday announced the successful integration of e-Sanjeevani with its flagship scheme – Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). This will now enable the users of e-Sanjeevani to create their 14-digit unique Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) and use it to link their existing health records.
This integration allows existing users of eSanjeevani, a telemedicine service of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), to easily create their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) and use it to add and manage their existing health records such as prescriptions, lab reports. does for. e.t.c.
Users will also be able to share their health records with doctors on e-Sanjeevani which will help in better clinical decision making and ensure continuity of care.
Speaking about the importance of this integration, Dr. RS Sharma, CEO, NHA said – “ABDM aims to build digital highways to bridge the gap between existing digital health solutions and stakeholders in India. The integration of e-Sanjeevani with ABDM is one such example where 22 crore Aura holders can directly link and store their health records created through e-Sanjeevani in the health locker of their choice. Users can share their pre-linked health records with doctors on e-Sanjeevani, making the entire consultation process paperless.”
eSanjeevani service is available in two variants. The first is e-Sanjeevani Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Center (AB-HWC) – doctor-to-doctor telemedicine service through which beneficiaries visiting HWC can connect with doctors/specialists in the hub who may be in tertiary healthcare facility . /Hospital/Medical College.
It enables the government to provide general and specialized health services in rural areas and isolated communities. The second edition, e-Sanjeevani OPD is serving patients across the country, directly connecting them with doctors from the comfort of their homes. Both the versions – e-Sanjeevani AB-HWC and e-Sanjeevani OPD are integrated with the ABDM platform.
The e-Sanjeevani telemedicine platform now joins another 40 digital health applications that have completed their ABDM integration. Together, these health tech services are creating a strong, interoperable and inclusive digital health ecosystem for the country.
