Ranveer Singh appeals to youth on International Sign Language Day

“From hospitality to education to creative arts. We can only make this change together and my faith and support is with the youth of our country.”

Ranveer is doing his best to help the community. He is also urging the authorities to recognize and declare Indian Sign Language (ISL) as the 23rd official language of India and has also signed a petition aimed at raising awareness about the cause.

The ‘Gully Boy’ star and his artist collective, Inc., have been flag bearers of the cause and are in action with consistent and strong plans for change.

The versatile actor shared his future plans to raise awareness for the cause.

“It’s a long journey ahead. We at Inc. Inc. are all committed to moving forward as partners in our deaf community and reaching the last line with them. There are many levels to this.”

Ranveer said that first is supporting the deaf community in his plea to make ISL an officially recognized language and then be more inclusive as a society by reaching out to the “grassroots deaf community”.

He continued: “At Inc., we create art and that’s what we will continue to make accessible to the deaf community. Take for example our ISL videos – Love, Music, Black, and Do and Ideas which were released today to celebrate International Day Went to sign languages.”

The actor says he has ideas to further expand our relationship with the deaf community through interactive ways, but it is still in its early stages. Ranveer shared that his record label Inc.’s association with the deaf community began in 2019 when he had an ISL interpreter perform live on national TV with our artist Spitfire.

He said that the first step towards this milestone was taken by the government a few weeks back when ISL was made optional for students to learn in schools of class 9-12.

“The day ISL becomes the 23rd recognized Indian language under the Constitution of India will be a milestone that will move the needle. I have full faith in the leaders of our nation and we know that we are on course to achieve this milestone. are on the way.”
