Burgers are great comfort food for kids and adults alike. After all, what’s better than digging into a soft and crumbly bun with a thick crispy patty tucked into it? Don’t forget the saucy mix of lettuce, cucumber, roasted tomatoes, and a handful of olives with mayonnaise, chipotle, and mustard. A memorable meal, indeed. But, what if we make the bun more crispy? In one of his Instagram reels, Pankaj Bhadauria shared the recipe of crispy burger. “Your favorite burgers just got crispier and crispier! See how,” she captioned the post.

Burger Patties Ingredients:

  • Boiled Mashed Potatoes – 1 cup
  • Soya granules – 1 cup
  • Finely chopped green chili – 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp
  • Mustard sauce – 1 tbsp
  • White vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Maize flour – 2 tbsp

Burger Sauce Ingredients:

  • Mayonnaise: ⅓ cup
  • Red Chutney: 2 cups
  • Vinegar: 1 tsp
  • Hot Sauce: 1 tbsp

Way:

Step 1: In a bowl, add boiled mashed potatoes, soya granules, green chillies, soya sauce, black pepper powder, salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, tomato ketchup, mustard sauce, white vinegar and corn flour. Mix well.

Step 2: Make patties and roll them in bread crumbs. Fry in medium hot oil. Burger patties are ready.

Step 3: To prepare the burger sauce – Add red tomato sauce and vinegar to the mayonnaise. For a spicy taste, add any red sauce to the mixture.

Step 4: Bake the buns on a griddle, spread the sauce mix on the base and place a patty (or even two). Top it with lettuce, onion, tomato and maybe a slice of cheese. Close it with the other half of the bun.

Step 5: The next step is to prepare the batter using maida, water, corn flour and red chili powder. Shake it well. Dip the burgers in this batter, cover them with crushed corn flakes and deep fry in hot oil.

Crispy burgers are ready!
