However, a CBI official told news agency ANI that the team went to Rabri’s residence only after they fixed March 6 as the date of questioning. “A few days ago CBI summoned former Bihar CM Rabri Devi and she herself fixed March 6 as the date of questioning at her residence. It is not that the CBI barged in.”

The CBI had already filed its charge sheet in the case and the special court had on March 15 summoned the accused, including former railway minister Lalu Prasad and his family members and others. The agency has continued further investigation in the alleged scam case. This visit of the CBI team is in connection with the further investigation of the case.”

The matter pertains to the period when Lalu Prasad was the Railway Minister in the UPA-1 government. And in lieu of this, the persons themselves or their family members transferred their land in the name of the family members of Prasad and a company, AK Infosystems Pvt Ltd, which was subsequently taken over by the family members of Prasad.
It was further alleged that about 1,05,292 square feet of land situated in Patna was obtained by the family members of Lalu Prasad through five sale deeds and two gift deeds and in most of the sale deeds, by way of payment to the vendors from those persons Was. Told to pay in cash.
According to the current circle rate, the cost of the land was around Rs 4.39 crore.
The land was directly purchased by the family members of Lalu Prasad from the vendors at a rate lower than the prevailing circle rate. The prevailing market value of the land was much higher than the circle rate.
It was alleged that due process and guidelines issued by the Railway Authority were not followed for the appointment of the substitute and subsequently his services were also regularised.
