Apple users are getting a new security update this week that the company wants everyone to update to immediately. This update is targeted for iPad users who have the iPadOS platform running on the device.
The iPadOS 16.3.1 update is a small update that basically brings important bug fixes and security updates to your iPad, as mentioned in the update notes for iPad users.
Apart from iPadOS, iPhone users also got a similar update with iOS 16.3.1 version earlier this week. According to the information given on Apple’s support page, the update was released on February 13.
The download size of iPadOS 16.3.1 is 149MB and is supported on iPad models starting from iPad Air 3rd gen, 5th gen iPad, iPad Pro models and even the 5th generation iPad mini. For iPhone users, anyone with an iPhone 8 model needs to grab the iOS 16.3.1 update immediately to avoid any crashes with their device.
The security issue affected the kernel as well as the Apple WebKit application. Apple states that the vulnerability could allow an app to execute arbitrary code. Concerns are high when it comes to WebKit, as Apple seems to think that a WebKit-related issue can be actively exploited.

Click on General
Tap on Security Update
– Refresh the page to see if your iPad is running iPadOS version 16.3.1
– Install iPadOS 16.3.1 and restart iPad
