Delhi Capitals (DC) resumed their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 33 at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. The last time these two sides met was in Match 20, when Delhi registered a resounding victory in the Super Over. Hence, Kane Williamson would be hoping to prevent Delhi from bowling a double over at SRH this season. DC are currently on the second spot in the IPL 2021 points table with 12 points from eight matches (six wins and two losses). Meanwhile, SRH are at the bottom of the table with two points from seven matches (one win and six losses). Rishabh Pant will continue to captain Delhi in the UAE despite Shreyas Iyer’s return. Iyer missed the first half of IPL 2021 due to a shoulder injury. DC will also be without Chris Woakes, who has been replaced by Ben Dwarshius. SRH, on the other hand, will be without Jonny Bairstow, who withdrew from the UAE leg. He has been replaced by Sherfane Rutherford of West Indies. (live scorecard)

T Natarajan tests positive for COVID-19, Vijay Shankar in isolation
Ahead of the match, an official IPL statement revealed that SRH bowler T Natarajan has tested positive for COVID-19. He will not be available for DC games and is asymptomatic. Vijay Shankar and five members of the support staff have been identified as close contacts and kept in isolation.
