IPL 2021, RCB vs KKR: Glenn Maxwell blasts social media for “spreading abuse” for “terrible people” after RCB exit

Unhappy with the treatment of one of his teammates after RCB’s loss, Maxwell thanked “Real fans” but rebuked those “abusers”.

“Great season of RCB, unfortunately we fell short of where we thought we should be. Not far from an amazing season!! Some of the garbage floating around on social media is absolutely disgusting! We are the humans that Maxwell is.” He wrote in his Twitter post, “Giving my best every day. Maybe instead of abusing try to be a good person…”

“Thanks to the genuine fans who shared the love and admiration for the players who gave their all! Unfortunately there are some terrible people out there who make social media a terrible place. This is unacceptable!!!! Please don’t be like that! Them!!!” she added.

In another tweet, Maxwell posted: “If you my partner/friend comment on social media with negative/abusive nonsense, you will block everyone. What’s the point of being a terrible person? Any excuse Not there !! !

Maxwell’s compatriot at RCB, Dan Christian, was not having the best of days in office. He scored nine runs in 8 balls and conceded 29 runs in 1.4 overs.

After the match, Christian posted a note on his Instagram stories saying that his teammate’s Instagram post has been targeted by trolls.

The all-rounder wrote, “Look at the comment section of my partner’s Instagram post. I didn’t have a great game tonight, but that’s the game. However, please let him out of it.”

Monday was also the last time Virat Kohli captained RCB and had earlier revealed that this would be his last season as captain for the franchise.
