A total of 27 players have been retained, including eight overseas players and four uncapped.
As the situation stands, Punjab Kings has the heaviest purse of Rs 72 crores, while Delhi Capitals will go into the IPL 2022 mega auction with the lowest budget- Rs 47.5 crores.
It was really an uphill task for the franchise to retain only four players from the pool of talent that their respective squads have. Amidst all the releases, Punjab Kings (PBKS) decided to release their captain KL Rahul Shocked many.
