DUBAI: After completing the quarantine, Royal Challengers Bangalore began training in Dubai on Sunday before the resumption of IPL 2021. The team entered the field running in the United Arab Emirates with a football game for players to adapt to the weather.
Speaking about the first training session and highlighting the updates about the arrival of the players, mike hesson, Director of Cricket Operations and Head Coach RCB, said, “6th, 8th, and 10th (September) will be gym days. So, instead of doing split groups like last time, we’re all going to go as a group. 7th, 9th, and 11th Skill Training It gives you a day where you can train hard and then you can do your S&C (Strength and Conditioning) and be fine.”
“AB (de Villiers) is at the airport now, so he will be on his way. Maxi (Glen Maxwell) is two or three days away, Kyle (Jamison) will be here around the 10th, and then people will be dripping with different bubbles playing around the world. By tomorrow we will have 11 people from our group, so we are halfway through.”
Hesson also provided an update on players returning from the India-England series and Sri Lanka-South Africa series, “Both the India-England bubble and the Sri Lanka-South Africa bubble will be direct bubbles for bubble transfers. Therefore, they will be from the opening game.” Coming two or three days early. Obviously, they’ve been playing a lot of cricket, so it’s just a matter of bringing them here and adapting to the heat.”
Last week, RCB confirmed that all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season due to an impending finger injury. Akash Deep, a state cricketer from Bengal and net bowler with the franchise, has been named as the replacement.
